I love ranch dressing, but have you checked out the ingredients in it lately? Let me translate it for you: MSG, GMO’s, preservatives and artificial flavors.
We make homemade ranch all the time at our hosue. We use it on our chicken wraps, our homemade potato wedges, salads, etc. My husband is always requesting for me to make it. It’s so simple and quick, I bet you have all of the ingredients in your pantry and fridge too!
Homemade Organic Ranch Dressing or Dip
1/4 cup organic mayo (I find mine at Trader Joes or the Food Co-op)
14 cup organic sour cream (or at least rbST free) (Trader Joes or Food Co-op)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp onion powder
1 1/2 tsp dill
1 tsp basil
1 tsp parsley
2 tbsp organic milk (if you’re making dressing, less if you want it thicker for dipping)
Mix everything into a bowl and serve! I would refrigerate it before serving to let the flavors combine.
Also, if you don’t dry your own herbs, you can buy them in bulk at your local food co-op for a very reasonable price. I also find my organic herbs at Target and use my Cartwheel app. Click here for more information on that!.
