Homemade foaming hand soap
Are you interested in saving hundreds of dollars per year? At our house, we have 4 bathrooms and a kitchen that require a bottle of hand soap. That’s approx $4 a bottle each location per month or so. This recipe only calls for 3 simple ingredients: Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Soap (only $10 at Trader Joe’s, about $15 at Target), Young Living Lemon Essential Oil (or whatever oil you choose for smell) and filtered water. I’ve only used about a quarter of this castile soap bottle and I opened it back in May. The best thing about this soap is that there are no harmful chemicals on your hands!
To make, you need:
1 foaming soap container (I’m used an empty one from JR Watkins; Bath and Body Works work well too, or you can buy them empty on Amazon)
Fill the soap container with 2-3 tbsp of Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Soap (I buy the Peppermint kind)
Add water to about 3/4 full
Add 2-4 drops of Essential oil (I like lemon, thieves or peppermint)
Place the top on and invert to mix and you’re all set!
