Homemade Meatballs with DIY organic BBQ sauce
So I’m pregnant and had a craving for BBQ meatballs the other night. I came up with this and it was exactly what I was looking for and my husband just loved it!
Homemade Meatballs with DIY Organic BBQ sauce
1 pound Grass fed beef, raw
1/3- 1/2 cup dry organic breadcrumbs
1/3-1/2 cup raw chopped onions
1 organic, pastured egg
1/4 cup organic milk
1/4 tsp Himalayan pink salt
1/4 tsp organic ground pepper
1 tsp parsley
1 tsp organic Worcestershire sauce
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. I usually turn my oven on to convection. Mix all ingredients in a medium sized bowl. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper and shape mixture into 1-2 inch meatballs. Bake for 10 minutes, then take out and flip meatballs over. Bake for another 7-10 minutes or until no longer pink in the center.
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the BBQ sauce:
Homemade Organic BBQ Sauce
1/4 cup organic brown sugar
1/4 cup raw, local honey
1/2 cup organic ketchup
2 tbsp Coconut aminos (a Soy Sauce replacement)
1 clove garlic, minced
Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan until warm. When the meatballs are done, add a few into the saucepan at a time to coat in the sauce and then serve.
